Welcome

The Increasing Market Employability Programme (IME) is aimed at strengthening the business sector in the Republic of North Macedonia. Our mission is to create an enabling environment for our identified high-growth target sectors: Sustainable Agribusiness, Adventure Tourism and Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

We aim to expand markets and boost competitiveness amongst domestic players in these sectors, to catalyse an overall improvement in the quality of products and services, and create sustainable jobs for high-skilled labour force in North Macedonia, especially women and youth.

The overall lifespan of the Increasing Market Employability project in North Macedonia is 11 years, with a total budget of 15.5 million CHF funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.  IME’s current phase, with a budget of 6.2 million CHF and duration of five years  is implemented by the Palladium. The work we do under IME is aligned with the strategic goals of the Swiss Cooperation Programme North Macedonia 2021-24

Testimonials

Dominika

“The IME Program through a team of Swiss experts from the sport consulting company GFC Sports Management AG, led by world champion in mountain biking Ralph Näf developed an analysis and a master plan for constructing four biking trails in Krushevo. This supplements the existing tourist offer and further promotes active tourism in Krushevo.”

“With the new semi-automatic machine acquired with the support of IME, we speeded up the bottle filling process significantly – going from 500 bottles per work shift to 1500 bottles per hour. This way, we manage to respond to the increasing market demand for sparkling wine. We are proud to be creating a new consumer habit on the local market, as Lazar’s frizzante and sparkling wine is the first domestic wine of this type.”

“Through the Employer Branding Academy at VITA Institute, which was supported by IME, CodeIT introduced an innovative approach in HR management, employee visibility, and marketing activities. This has led to an increased brand awareness and an improved organizational culture.”
